What: Interact with our exhibit We Live On exhibit at it's final location. Celebrate the stories shared, community connections made, and the people that helped make Telling Queer History possible for 12 years. There will be a documentary film about TQH to watch, live story tellers, and a ritual of gratitude and release led by the Ladies of the Lake. Why: Telling Queer History has been hosting gatherings that connect 2SLGBTQIA+ people across generations and identities to foster healing, compassion, and empathy for 12 years. Our organization is coming to a close after June 30, 2025. Before we go we want to gather with our amazing community, share all that we have learned and built together, and dream up what is possible going forward. Accessibility: Masks required and some provided. ASL interpretation will be provided. Please let us know if you need childcare or transportation support. The parking ramp is more than 100 feet away. Queermunity is on a second floor accessed by a full flight of stairs or elevator. There will be chairs of many sizes and styles. Substance free event. All ages. No fee to attend but we would greatly appreciate donations towards our staff paid time off after TQH closes. Costume/dress “code”: sunset - bust out the vibrant colors, sparkles, or dusky muted tones. Embody the time of day when the sun sinks to the horizon. Gifts of cash and flowers welcome.
